Dear Friends;
I'm concerned about one more plastic RINO running for
office in Texas. While you may not agree with Phil King
100% of the time, I assure you Phil represents us well
and he is a warrior for conservative causes in Austin.
Phil has never cowered from taking on the hard issues
and fighting the really tough battles. Whether social
issues or tough fiscal issues, I know Phil is working
for protecting families, preserving our values and
containing government.
Suddenly Phil has a "republican" opponent with a burr in
his saddle about the legislature's efforts to cap
property appraisals and taxes, improve education with
competition, and promote free enterprise for commodities
like utilities and services. (instead of the city
having a monopoly over those things)
Joe is a long time Weatherford guy who has wanted to be
a state rep for at least 10 years. He is respectable,
but well known for being a compromiser and a believer in
consensus. In other words, he is not willing to get
bloody for a cause. He is not a guy that would stand up
and take a bullet for the conservative team.
In fact, he just appeared at the October 6th
rally for Parker County Active Democrats.
Their theme is : "Turn Parker County Blue" See the
agenda on
http://www.turnparkerblue.com/
Then see the pictures of Joe Tison at the rally with
Former Dem Speaker Jim Wright. I've attached it here.
It is posted on
Being Mayor has made Tison a true believer in raising
taxes, so he is mad about any possible appraisal caps or
property tax caps that protect tax payers and restrict
any county, school, hospital, college, etc. in exploding
their budget and spending. In other words, he is a big
government guy.
The PARENT PAC is the so called bipartisan group trying
to get Phil out. However, it is well known the Dems
hate him because he is really the commander for many of
the conservative causes in Austin. The PARENT PAC has
NO Republicans in it and their main PRIORITY is to make
sure government has the sole monopoly over all
education in the state of Texas. They are against any
choice for parents in the education for their children.

So now you have my opinion.
If you want to share your opinion, please let me know.
I will certainly consider it. The democrats have known
they cannot win much in Texas if they portray themselves
truthfully. It's time for us to really consider the
facts and make sure we know what we are voting for.
Just one more comment. I've
seen the sights in Austin from all angles. The process
is really a sausage making procedure. Not very pretty
or attractive. It take a lot of very hard work,
stamina, and guts. We want a guy down there who is
willing to continue the battle even though he may be
wounded and the bullets are whizzing around his head.
The Dems NEVER compromise on the hard stuff. They just
keep on throwing grenades, one after another. If Parker
County begins to turn left, conservatives statewide will
be injured.
Please forward this to your
friends who care. Encourage your friends who don't care
to pay attention. This is really important.
Thanks.
My best. Janelle Shepard
